Summary of the Cantonal Court in Livno operative report for the first quarter of 2024
The Cantonal Court in Livno is the highest instance of
the judiciary in Canton 10. Under the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Court in
Livno is the Municipal Court in Livno with its divisions in Tomislavgrad and
Drvar.
At the end of 2023, 531 cases
remained unresolved in the Cantonal Court in Livno. During the first quarter of
2024, the Cantonal Court in Livno received 302 cases, while in the same
quarter of 2023 received 211 cases, which represents increase in the
inflow of 91 cases or 43,13%. In the first quarter of 2024, a
total of 363 cases were resolved, while in the same period last year 294
cases were resolved. At the end of the first quarter of 2024, 470 cases
remained unresolved, while at the end of the first quarter of 2023, 563
cases remained unresolved, which is 93 cases or 16,52% less than at
the end of the first quarter of 2023.
The achieved collective norm of the
court for the first quarter of 2024 is 130,29%. Almost all judges of
this court achieved over 100% of the average annual norm for this period.
The average duration of 363 resolved cases is 170 days, which is 107 days less than in the same period of 2023, when the average duration of cases was 277 days.
According to the annual Case Resolution Plan for 2024, the obligation to resolve 82 first-instance cases has been determined, while according to the quarterly Case Resolution Plan for 2024, the obligation to resolve a total of 94 cases has been determined. On 31st March 2024, 94 cases from the Case Resolution Plan for the first quarter were resolved, so that the percentage of resolved cases from the plan is 100%, while from the annual Case Resolution Plan 3 cases or 4% were resolved, and 79 cases remained unresolved.
